Job Title: L1 Network Engineer

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in networking technologies, preferably within a Data Centre environment
  • At least 2 years of work experience specifically in Data Centre operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot IP technologies, including both IPv4 and IPv6
  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot major managed and unmanaged networking devices (routers, switches) across OEMs such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and HPE
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot core networking and security devices, including firewalls, IPS/IDS, from various OEMs
  • Work with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., HPE NNM or similar) to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Utilize network diagnostic utilities to effectively identify and troubleshoot network-related problems
  • Support the integration of network services with desktop and server environments
  • Perform configuration, integration, and support for LAN and WAN services
  • Address and close Security Operations Centre (SOC) issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure proper setup and management of load balancing systems, particularly for Finacle CBS/UBS version 10.2.18 or higher
  • Maintain strong understanding and practical knowledge of ISO OSI and TCP/IP models
  • Demonstrate familiarity with MPLS and SD-WAN technologies

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong foundational knowledge of networking principles and protocols.
  • Proficiency in handling networking and security hardware across multiple vendors.
  • Effective problem-solving skills using various diagnostic tools and utilities.
  • Working knowledge of network integration in enterprise environments.
  • Industry-recognized certification such as CCNA or an equivalent is mandatory.
