This role partners with Engineering, Platform, and Product to enable rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesDevOps Leadership• Lead design, implementation, automated testing, and operations of cloud automation in AWS• Own CI/CD pipeline strategy and improve deployment automation and release velocity• Partner with Engineering to architect scalable, resilient, and cost-effective automation solutions• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response practices• Drive migration from on-premises to cloud environments with minimal disruptions• Implement security best practices, compliance controls, and governance standards• Identify and mitigate infrastructure risks and performance bottlenecks• Own production system SLAs related to reliability, availability, and performance• Integrate AI and AIOps to enhance automation, predictive insights, and efficiencyTeam Leadership• Recruit, mentor, and develop DevOps engineers• Create individualized growth plans for team members• Foster a culture of automation and continuous improvement• Provide regular coaching and performance feedback• Develop effective on-call rotations and incident management processes• Promote documentation and knowledge sharing• Hire team members aligned with HealthEdge valuesRequired Skills and Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field• Minimum 12+ years of technical experience with 3+ years managing DevOps teams• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience• Strong expertise in AWS or other major cloud platforms• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration• Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or AWS CDK• Experience with AI and AIOps tools for automation and predictive monitoring• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or ELK stack• Knowledge of MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including high-availability configurations• Strong understanding of networking, load balancing, and distributed systems• Proven experience leading infrastructure migrations or transformations• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practicesPreferred Skills• Experience with API Gateway platforms• Healthcare technology and HIPAA compliance knowledge• Multi-region, multi-tenant SaaS experience• Experience with database replication and clustering• Knowledge of ETL pipelines and data workflows• Experience with GitOps practices and toolsBehavioral Traits• Able to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences• Collaborative mindset across engineering, product, and security teams• Bias for automation and eliminating manual toil• Data-driven approach with focus on metrics and improvement• Curious, adaptable, and passionate about learning new technologies• Creates psychologically safe and feedback-driven team environments• Learns from incidents and implements preventive actions• Champions operational needs while supporting engineering velocity• Passionate about improving healthcare outcomes through technology
