Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Calypso Java Developer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have strong development and debugging capabilities, coupled with hands-on experience in Calypso and commodities trading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new features and enhancements for various desks and operations users in an American bank, using Java and Calypso APIs.
- Participate in planning sessions, estimate effort, conduct testing, and provide Level 2 support.
- Build, enhance, and maintain back-office applications on the Calypso platform to support commodity trading operations.
- Work closely with operations and trade support teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions that enhance trade processing and settlement efficiency.
- Implement and manage workflows for trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
Skills & Experience Required:
- At least 5 years of hands-on Java development experience, including work with Calypso APIs.
- Proficiency in Calypso customizations such as Scheduled Tasks, Reports, and Engines.
- In-depth experience with Calypso version 16 or higher, particularly in the context of commodities asset classes.
- Solid understanding of commodities trading processes including trade settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with Calypso's message and sender frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work directly with Operations users.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Technical: AWS, Kubernetes, Grafana, Maven, Jenkins, Cloudbees, GitHub Copilot
Business: Knowledge of derivatives and commodities.
Work Hours: Monday-Friday 1 PM - 9.30 PM IST
