Are you passionate about embedded systems that prioritize both performance and protection?

We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for an Embedded Security Engineer to join their hybrid team. This role focuses on the development and deployment of secure embedded platforms powered by RISC-V architectures. You'll play a key role in designing secure boot chains, identity management protocols, and robust embedded encryption for industrial-grade IoT devices.

What You'll Do

  • Implement secure embedded software on RISC-V–based platforms for identity & access devices.
  • Work on bootloader integrity, secure key storage, and encryption libraries.
  • Collaborate with firmware, systems, and hardware teams to integrate security into the full stack.
  • Participate in threat modeling, code reviews, and penetration testing.
  • Support hardware bring-up and validate secure communication protocols (TLS, SSH, etc.).

You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in embedded or security-focused software engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of RISC-V systems, SoCs, or secure hardware extensions.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, plus experience with cryptographic libraries (mbedTLS, WolfSSL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with secure boot, firmware update protocols, and anti-rollback mechanisms.
  • Experience with Linux or RTOS-based embedded systems.

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to industrial or critical infrastructure systems.
  • Experience working with TPMs, HSMs, or secure enclaves.
  • Hands-on use of tools like GDB, OpenOCD, or protocol fuzzers.
  • Knowledge of relevant security standards (ISO 27001, IEC 62443).
