Job Description: Senior Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce) Backend Developer - LeadPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Magento 2 Backend Engineer (8–10+ years) with deep expertise in Adobe Commerce development, custom module engineering, scalable backend architecture, and end-to-end project ownership. The role involves managing an existing Adobe Commerce implementation (both B2B and B2C), leading backend development, leading a team of junior developers, collaborating closely with client, and driving technical solutions that align with business goals.Key Responsibilities1. Adobe Commerce / Magento 2 Development· Architect, develop, and maintain custom Magento 2 modules, extensions, and backend features.· Manage and enhance existing Adobe Commerce B2B and B2C storefronts, ensuring performance, stability, and scalability.· Implement and integrate third-party systems (payment gateways, ERPs, CRMs, custom APIs).· Perform code optimization, performance tuning, and advanced debugging.2. Requirements Understanding & Client Communication· Act as a technical point of contact for client, handling direct communication as needed.· Gather, understand, and refine client requirements and translate them into actionable technical tasks.· Provide solution-oriented recommendations, propose architectural improvements, and guide clients on best practices.· Work closely with stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet both technical and business objectives.3. Ownership & Professional Competencies· Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and integrity in all aspects of work.· Maintain a proactive mindset: identify risks, diagnose issues, and implement solutions independently.· Uphold strong communication, documentation, and time management practices.6. Required Skills & Experience· 8–10+ years of backend development experience, with 5+ years in Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce.· Proven experience managing and improving existing Adobe Commerce B2B and B2C sites.· Strong expertise in custom module development, integrations, and performance optimization.· Solid command of PHP 7/8, MySQL, Composer, Redis, Elasticsearch, GraphQL/REST, and Magento frameworks.· Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Bitbucket Pipelines, Git flow, and multi-environment deployments.· Demonstrated experience mentoring and leading a small development team.· Strong requirement analysis skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.· Solutions-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.· Professional integrity, sense of ownership, and accountability in delivery.Preferred QualificationsMagento 2 or Adobe Commerce certification(s).Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure.Exposure to microservices, and modern ecommerce architectures.Experience supporting high-scale B2B/B2C ecommerce platforms.Interested candidates may send their resume’ at hr@unotechglobal.com
