Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished and passionate academic professional for the position of

Professor in Mathematics, with a strong interdisciplinary orientation towards Data Science.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, and industrial

engagement. Applicants with a strong academic foundation and practical exposure are

Key Responsibilities

 Deliver undergraduate course in Mathematics, with an emphasis on applications in

Data Science and related domains.

 Design and revise curriculum aligned with current academic and industry trends.

 Establish collaborations with reputed academic institutions and corporate

organizations.

 Participate in department-level academic planning, program development, and quality

assurance initiatives.

 Organize and participate in conferences, seminars, and workshops.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

 Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Data Science from a premier

institution (preferably IITs, IISc, IISERs, ISI Kolkata, Central Universities or equivalent).

 At least one academic qualification (either at the undergraduate or postgraduate level)

must be in Mathematics or Data Science.

 Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Experience:

 Minimum 10 years of teaching and/or research experience in a reputed academic

institution.

 Demonstrated industry/corporate exposure through consulting, collaborative research,

or project implementation will be an added advantage.

 Proven record of academic publications, research grants, and/or industrial projects.

Desirable Skills:

 Strong foundation in Pure or Applied Mathematics with the ability to link theory to

practical data-driven applications.

 Ability to integrate computational tools and modern pedagogies in classroom

instruction.

 Industry-recognized certifications or consultancy experience in Data Science or

Analytics.

 Excellent communication, leadership, and student mentorship capabilities.
