Role:

Responsible for interpreting engineering drawings and managing product data using Windchill and other PLM systems to ensure accurate documentation and effective collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive team member to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings, as well as managing and referencing product data using Windchill and other PLM solutions. This role is critical in ensuring accurate data reading & compilation, data integrity, and smooth collaboration across stakeholders.

Core Skills

  • Expertise in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical documents & Fastener Standards.
  • Proficient in using Windchill PLM; familiarity with other PLM solutions (e.g., Teamcenter, Enovia, SAP PLM) is an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure data integrity and documentation accuracy.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with CAD software is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of document control processes and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents (standard and non-standard components, Fasteners, etc.)
  • Access, retrieve, and manage product data and documentation using Windchill and other PLM systems or experienced in similar PLM solutions.
  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with various teams to resolve documentation discrepancies and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Hands on in Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes within PLM tools is an added advantage.
  • Assist engineering data analysis by collecting data from multiple standards.
  • Provide training and support to team members on PLM best practices and drawing interpretation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with GD&T, Windchill PLM; additional PLM system experience is advantageous.
