This is a full-time remote position, specifically for engineers based in India. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising backend systems that power Zendr’s financial infrastructure. If you are passionate about scalable architecture, high-performance APIs, and fintech innovations, we’d love to hear from youKey Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Node.js and Express.js.- Build and optimise RESTful APIs for high-performance transaction processing.- Implement security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and authorization.- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL to manage financial data efficiently.- Optimize system performance, ensuring low-latency and high availability.- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences.- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.- Implement automated testing (unit, integration) and participate in code reviews.- Monitor and troubleshoot issues in production environments.- Stay updated with industry trends, especially in fintech and payment technologies. Must-Have Requirements:- 1.5+ year of hands-on experience in backend development with Node.js and Express.js.- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and API security.- Practical understanding of designing scalable backend systems- Experience working with Prisma for database interaction, migrations, and query optimisation.- Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL).- Proficiency in asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and real-time data processing.- Solid understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, or OpenID.- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms for backend deployment and scalability.- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and optimisation skills.- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Prisma ORM, database design for relational systems, and managing migrations (including indexing strategies, constraints, and transaction handling.).- Excellent communication skills.Nice-to-Have Skills:- Knowledge of WebSockets for real-time applications.- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.- Experience in dashboard development and web portals- Previous experience in a startup environment with a hands-on approach.Why Join Zendr?- Fully remote work with a flexible schedule.- Career growth- Opportunity to work on a high-impact product.- Work with a fast-moving, innovative team.- Career growth opportunities as we scale. How to Apply:If you are excited about building scalable product, apply now by sending your CV and GitHub/portfolio to careers@zendrapp.com with the subject line "Backend Engineer Application - India".
