Primary responsibilities of this position would be to:

Assist with the create of Cloud FinOps framework, by working with stakeholders and reference industry best practices such as FinOps.org Budget and forecasting. Collaborate with IT and finance team to establish cloud budgets and forecast. Measuring actual spending, build show back or cost allocation reporting as needed. Resource Usage Optimization. Identify opportunities for cost optimization like right sizing, purging and minimize over-provisioning. Cloud Rate Optimization. Optimize Cloud costs by tracking cost plans, Commitment based discounts, and enterprise savings plans - Cloud Capacity Management. Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure capacity and demand forecasts monitoring and tracking of cloud capacity & resource mgmt. for all services. Cost Reporting and Visualization. Work with stakeholders to define cloud cost performance KPIs, benchmarking and tracking them. Real-time decision making: Enable real time decision making using FinOps analytics, and managing anomalies effectively. Automation & Optimization. Implement cost optimization and governance process for continuous cost optimization. Leverage automation tools and scripts when applicable. Cross group collaboration and education: Collaborate & liaise among IT and Finance teams, and enable Organizational Alignment Intersection of FinOps & ITSM Intersection of FinOps & IT Security Cloud Policy & Governance Managing Shared Cost Managing Commitment Based Discounts Establishing FinOps Culture FinOps Education & Enablement Establishing a FinOps Decision & Accountability Structure Chargeback & Finance Integration Budget Management

Required Skills:

Overall work experience of 8 + years 4+ year's experience working as Cloud FinOps Analyst or similar experience / role Experience with cloud billing and cost management modules Good knowledge of forecasting, predicting cost of organizations / Org Units Reporting and cost financial data maintenance and availability management Stakeholder management and liaising with multiple verticals Automation and tooling for FinOps analytics Experience with cloud cost management tools and services (e.g. Azure Cost Management, Apptio Cloudability). Advanced Excel and analytical skills (developing forecasts & financial reports, pivot tables, charts, and financial calculations) Experience working within an Agile framework Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and ambiguous environment by combining analytical rigor and judgment. Strong commitment to exceptional customer experience, enthusiasm to drive positive change and persuasive ability. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (ability to present detailed technical analysis, assumptions, and recommendations succinctly.

Preferred Skills

Power BI and Azure Analytics Tableau would be an add on Experience with PowerShell & Terraform FinOps

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's / Master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience/certification Az-900 or above AZ-104… FinOps Certified Associate from FinOps Foundation FinOps Certified Practitioner from FinOps Foundation - good to have. FinOps Certified Professional from FinOps Foundation -Good to have.
