Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake + dbt)Experience: 8–12 YearsLocation: Hyderabad / Ahmedabad (Hybrid)Company: Anblicks Inc. – Great Place to Work® Certified | Snowflake Elite PartnerRole OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with deep hands-on experience in Snowflake and dbt to design, build, and optimize scalable ELT pipelines and analytical data models. In this role, you will lead technical design, drive engineering best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build high-quality, reliable, and cost-efficient data solutions.Key Responsibilities1. Data Pipeline & ELT DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt Cloud, Prefect).Own the dbt development lifecycle including modeling, tests, documentation, versioning, and deployment.Build reusable and modular data transformation frameworks supporting analytics, BI, and machine learning use cases.2. Snowflake Engineering & OptimizationDesign and implement Snowflake data models using:Dimensional modelingData Vault3NF and enterprise modeling practicesOptimize compute performance through query tuning, clustering, micro-partitioning, warehouse optimization, caching, and Snowpipe.Monitor pipeline performance and apply cost-control strategies.3. Advanced SQL & Problem SolvingWrite complex, optimized SQL for large datasets and multi-layered transformations.Troubleshoot ingestion, transformation, and modeling issues end-to-end across the data ecosystem.Implement automated data quality checks, validation rules, and CI/CD workflows.4. Collaboration, Architecture & MentorshipWork closely with BI teams, analysts, and product owners to convert business needs into scalable technical designs.Participate in design reviews, provide technical recommendations, and champion best practices in data modeling, governance, and engineering.Mentor junior team members and contribute to reusable frameworks, accelerators, and internal playbooks.Required Skills & Experience8–12 years of strong data engineering experience with cloud-native architectures.Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Snowflake & dbt in production.Mastery in SQL, ELT patterns, and performance tuning.Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, CDC, SCDs, and dimensional modeling.Practical experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt Cloud, Prefect).Good knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP).Understanding of data governance, security, metadata, and pipeline auditing.Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Nice to HavePython for automation or data processing.Exposure to Databricks, Spark, or event-based data ingestion.Experience with Git-based CI/CD, Terraform/IaC, or containerized environments.Understanding of BI tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau).Why Join AnblicksGreat Place to Work® Certified culture with strong focus on people, learning, and growth.Opportunity to work on enterprise Snowflake implementations as part of a Snowflake Elite Partner ecosystem.Fast-paced, innovation-driven environment with continuous learning, certification support, and career advancement.Exposure to global clients, modern data stacks, and cutting-edge cloud technologies.
