We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Content Writer to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

This role involves documenting our APIs, database schemas, product features, and other technical aspects to ensure seamless understanding and utilization of our products.

Responsibilities:
  • API Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for our RESTful APIs, including endpoints, request/response parameters, authentication methods, error codes, and code examples in various programming languages.
  • Database Documentation: Develop and maintain clear and accurate database diagrams (ERDs), schema definitions, and descriptions of tables, columns, relationships, and data types.
  • Product Feature Documentation: Document new and existing product features, functionalities, and workflows for both internal teams (e.g., Sales, Support, Engineering) and external users.
  • Internal Documentation: Create and maintain internal technical documentation such as design specifications, architecture diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Content Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand upcoming features and plan documentation deliverables accordingly.
  • Information Gathering: Proactively gather information from subject matter experts (engineers, product managers) through interviews, meetings, and by reviewing technical specifications and code.
  • Writing and Editing: Write clear, concise, and technically accurate documentation, ensuring consistency in style, terminology, and formatting. Edit and proofread content for grammar, spelling, and clarity.
  • Documentation Tools and Platforms: Utilize and maintain our documentation tools and platforms (e.g., Confluence, Markdown, Swagger/OpenAPI, documentation generators) to create and publish content.
  • Content Maintenance: Regularly review and update existing documentation to reflect product changes, bug fixes, and user feedback.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Writing, English, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 2+ years) as a Technical Writer, preferably in a software development or technology-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development concepts, APIs (RESTful), and database principles.
  • Experience documenting APIs using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Familiarity with database diagramming tools and the ability to interpret and create database schemas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with specific programming languages or technologies relevant to our products.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Experience creating different types of technical content (e.g., tutorials, knowledge base articles, release notes).
  • Understanding of information architecture and content organization principles.
  • Experience with localization and internationalization of documentation.
