Senior Backend Engineer

Location: On-Site, Bangalore

Experience: 2+ years in backend development with modern JavaScript frameworks

Compensation: ₹30-40 LPA, based on experience

CloudFiles is a leading Documents tool, helping businesses streamline document management, generation, and extraction. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore and play a key role in architecting and developing mission-critical backend services.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our applications are robust, scalable, and secure. Your expertise will be crucial in driving our technology forward and mentoring team members along the way.

Backend System Design & Development

• Architect, design, and implement backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support various client applications.
• Optimize backend processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Database & Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Design and manage data models using MongoDB.
• Leverage AWS services to build and deploy scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and updates.

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps to deliver integrated solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to maintain high-quality code standards.
• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical challenges.

Quality Assurance & Best Practices

• Write clean, well-documented, and tested code following industry best practices.
• Implement and advocate for security best practices and data protection measures.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Minimum 2+ years of backend development experience with a strong focus on Node.js ecosystems.

Proficient in TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS with hands-on experience in building scalable APIs.

Extensive experience with MongoDB and cloud services, particularly AWS.

Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and agile development methodologies.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools and containerization (Docker)

Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for performance optimization and security.

Outstanding communication and teamwork skills with the ability to mentor and collaborate effectively.
