About the Job :

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) - IT will play a crucial role in leading and managing the organization's IT network and security infrastructure. This role requires a strong leader with deep technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of managing IT operations in the BFSI sector.

Domain Knowledge and Competency :

- Experience in analysis, evaluation, and implementation of IT network and IT security.

- Strong understanding of data protection and quality assurance processes.

- Proven ability to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.

- Excellent project management, time management, and problem-solving skills.

- Extensive experience in running captive IT operations, preferably in the BFSI sector.

- Hands-on experience in a Tech/Business function in a non-IT Company.

- Highly proficient in managing and troubleshooting Cisco and HP network devices, including routers, switches (including Nexus, ACI - Application Centric Infrastructure), Cisco spine and leaf architecture, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, ISE (Identity Services Engine), ASA (Adaptive Security Appliance), NAC (Network Admission Control), AnyConnect, 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication), MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching), ILL (Internet Leased Line), link load balancers, and secure web gateways.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage teams responsible for Network Projects and Operations.

- Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them to align with business goals.

- Analyze, evaluate, develop, and implement new/existing technologies based on business requirements.

- Identify needs for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and report to senior management.

- Ensure the IT infrastructure is functioning efficiently and effectively.

- Manage change management and drive improvements in IT systems.

- Control IT budgets and report on expenditures.

- Manage IT asset lifecycles.

- Manage IT/IS audits and ensure timely closure of critical findings.

- Select vendors, negotiate contracts for IT services, and oversee the procurement of IT infrastructure and other IT-related products.

- Manage vendor performance and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

- Monitor day-to-day IT activities and processes to ensure smooth functioning of IT operations.

Behavioral Competencies :

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.

- Strong analytical skills and logical reasoning abilities.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
