AREA OF OPERATION:

Collaborating with engineering team to meet assigned target.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

Project Planning & Execution:

- Lead electrical engineering activities for projects, ensuring timely execution.

- Develop electrical designs, schematics, and layouts in coordination with project requirements.

- Manage the procurement of electrical equipment and materials.

- Supervise electrical installations, testing, and commissioning.

Technical & Compliance Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with local and international electrical codes and safety standards.

- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

- Collaborate with regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and approvals.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project execution.

Team & Stakeholder Management:

- Coordinate with internal teams, including civil, mechanical, and instrumentation engineers.

- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure quality and timely delivery.

- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians.

Budgeting & Cost Control:

- Prepare cost estimates and track project expenditures.

- Optimize resource allocation to maintain budgetary constraints.

- Review contracts and vendor agreements to ensure & Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of electrical drawings, reports, and specifications.

- Prepare progress reports and present updates to senior management.

- Ensure documentation of test reports, safety checks, and quality assurance.

Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards and regulations.

- Implement hazardous area classification (ATEX/IECEx) and safety instrumented systems (SIS) as required.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and industry best practices.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for timely delivery of equipment and services.

- Evaluate vendor proposals and recommend suitable solutions for project requirements.

- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure project success.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

- 15+ years of experience in in electrical project execution and operations

- Experience in project management, vendor coordination, and site execution.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

- Expertise in electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance.

- Knowledge of power distribution, substations, and energy management.

- Familiarity with electrical safety standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE).

- Proficiency in electrical software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar tools.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Effective communication and stakeholder management.

DIMENSIONS OF POSITION / KPI:

- Review Electrical system for plant based on equipment Load

- Review of Substation design, Load Flow Analysis, selection of Brakers & Protection systems.

- Development of electrical protection & Monitoring System.

- Development of Single Line Diagrams, Technical Specifications

- Liasoning with WBSEDCL for Grid connectivity

- Daily Work Management (DWM) & Team Review

- Estimation of RevEx for Electrical

- Load Balancing & monitoring of power consumption

- Develop OEE monitoring system & PM Schedule

- Planning of Operation Manpower, Skill Mapping & KRA Setting

- Timely execution of electrical projects within budget.

- Reduction in electrical downtime and maintenance costs.

- Compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

- Energy efficiency improvements and cost savings.

- Team productivity and performance.
