To know more about us, please visit Marriott Tech Accelerator careers page.Role Title: Quality Engineer – Web & Functional TestingPosition Summary:Marriott International is seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Engineer to join our Hotel Websites (HWS) team within IT Application Development. This role is ideal for a QA professional with a strong background in web application testing, functional validation, cross-browser compatibility, and cross-locale/language testing. You will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of Marriott’s global hotel websites, delivering seamless digital experiences to guests across regions and languages.Job Responsibilities:Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web-based applications and services.Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across desktop and mobile platforms.Validate UI/UX consistency, responsiveness, and accessibility across multiple browsers, devices, and screen sizes.Conduct cross-locale and multilingual testing to ensure content accuracy, layout integrity, and functionality across different languages and regions.Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to identify defects early and ensure smooth releases.Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.Build and maintain automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, or Playwright.Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Monitor application performance and conduct load, stress, and security testing as needed.Document and report defects with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments.Track and communicate quality metrics, test coverage, and release readiness to stakeholders.Ensure compliance with Marriott’s QA standards, accessibility guidelines, and security protocols.Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and coordinate with business stakeholders for sign-off.Maintain test environments and manage test data for various scenarios.Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and documentation to enhance team efficiency.Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.Required Qualifications:3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser dev tools.Hands-on experience with functional testing of web applications and APIs.Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with performance and load testing toolsKnowledge of accessibility testing standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA compliance).Education and Certifications:Graduate degree in an engineering or computer science discipline and/or equivalent experience/certificationWork location: Hyderabad, India.Work mode: HybridMarriott’s core values:At Marriott, our core value make us who we are.
