Role Overview :

As a Power BI Developer, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into meaningful visualizations and reports. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver solutions that drive informed decision-making. Your expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling will be essential in ensuring the success of our data analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

- Create complex DAX calculations and measures for advanced data analysis.

- Develop and optimize data models for performance and scalability.

- Implement data security and access controls in Power BI reports.

- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI.

- Perform data cleansing and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

- Develop and maintain data dictionaries and documentation.

- Create Excel reports and automate reporting processes where possible.

- Write complex SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.

- Design and implement Star Schema data models.

- Work with databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and AWS data lakes.

- Perform ad-hoc queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.

- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

- Create compelling visualizations to communicate data insights effectively.

- Develop interactive dashboards that enable users to explore data and drill down into details.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand data needs.

- Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively.

- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI reports and dashboards.

- Develop automation scripts using Python or other programming languages.

- Automate data processing and reporting tasks.

- Implement data validation and quality checks.

- Develop advanced Excel reports and dashboards.

- Automate tasks using VBA macros.

Required Skills :

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Power BI development, including advanced DAX functions, data modeling, and dashboard design.

- Hands-on experience in SQL for data manipulation and ad-hoc queries.

- Experience in designing and implementing Star Schema data models.

- 4-6 years of experience in data management and reporting.

- Hands on experience with SQL/PostgreSQL/AWS data lake skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in Python or any other programming language.

- Knowledge of advanced Excel functions and VBA.

- Knowledge of SAS for data analysis and reporting.

- Experience with ETL tools for data integration.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Required Experience :

- 4-6 years of experience in data management and reporting.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Power BI development.

- Proven experience in writing complex SQL queries and designing data models.
