Key Responsibilities A. Product Development Assist in creating new garment samples based on consumer requirements and market trends. Support the sampling team in pattern development, proto samples, and size sets. Update tech packs and specifications with required measurement details. B. Fabric & Trim Research Collect information on new fabrics, trims, accessories, and report on performance, cost, and suitability. Coordinate with suppliers for new material sourcing and testing. C. Process Improvement Study existing sewing, cutting, and finishing processes to suggest improvements. D. Quality & Fit Research Assist in fit evaluation, garment construction analysis, and identifying quality enhancement opportunities. Conduct small-scale tests on durability, shrinkage, colorfastness, and report findings. E. Data Management Maintain R&D reports, prototype tracking, and document product specifications. Update R&D library with new swatches, trims, and innovation samples. F. Coordination Work closely with Merchandising, Production, QA, and CAD teams for information flow. Coordinate with external vendors for sample approval and material trials. Required Skills Basic knowledge of garment construction, patterns, and sewing operations. Understanding of fabrics and trims. Ability to prepare basic technical sheets and reports. Communication and coordination skills. Computer knowledge (Excel, Word, basic CAD/Fusion preferred). Good analytical and observation skills. Qualification & Experience Diploma / Degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, Textile Technology. 0–2 years of experience in R&D or Product Development in garment manufacturing.
