This allows us to assemble diverse perspectives, comprehensive knowledge, and specialized know-how to deliver the best software product/service to our clients.We are looking for an Electrical Wire Harness (EWH) Engineer to create, build, and maintain a significantly extensive, detailed electrical / interconnect parts database, including all available technical parameters. The selected candidate will be part of a high-performance team immersed in the high-intensity development of engineering software tools. AboutPosition name: Data LibrarianCategory: Electric Wiring Harness (EWH) EngineeringMinimum education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline, or 5 years of experience in either engineering/or supply-chain for wire harness and electronics components instead of a degree.Engagement terms: Temp to hireAvailability: Full-time Job Location: Remote QualificationsExtensive understanding of the development of electrical wiring harness (EWH) designsExtensive use and selection of the electrical industry components' data sheetsExcellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and manage multiple changing priorities.Strong Excel is a MUSTUnderstanding IPC/WHMA-A-620 and Mil-Aerospace standards such as MIL-DTL-3899, MIL-C-38999, MIL-C-24308, MIL-83513, and MIL-STD-1553 is a plus. Working knowledge of any ECAD/CAD for wire harnesses is a plus.ResponsibilitiesIdentify designated parts and research specification details by scouring potential sources such as parts catalogs, standard specifications, industry/military standards, commercial and public databases (MRP outputs), and replacement and cross-reference tables.Document EWH Detail/Assembly data into the company's electrical parts CAD database portal, using manual, automatic, and semi-automatic tools (OCR or APIs) to scrape data from sources referred above.Work with the development team to identify, design, test, and implement methods and tools to scale up data entry and integrity throughout the lifecycle of the parts.Document process used once optimized.Work independently and eventually lead a team, providing direction and technical mentoring to direct reports.Soft skillsExcellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills: EnglishFamiliar with Excel or Google SheetsExperience leading skilled technical teams.Self-motivated/ability to produce results unsupervised.Proactive/self-learner (onboarding training will be provided)                                                                                                                      Professional, honest, and ethical conduct is always expected.                                           Please ensure clear, consistent communication with internal and external customers.       Availability to work remotely in a productive environment.
