Your day-to-day work will include:Leading Development Efforts: You’ll oversee the full software development lifecycle—from requirements gathering and design through coding, testing, and deployment—ensuring that all deliverables meet high-quality standards and align with business objectives.Technical Strategy & Execution: You’ll define and enforce technical direction, coding standards, and best practices across multiple projects. This includes mentoring junior developers and guiding teams through complex technical challenges.Cross-Functional Collaboration: You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and other technical teams to translate business needs into scalable and maintainable solutions. Your role will often involve serving as a technical liaison across departments.Problem Solving & Optimization: You’ll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex issues, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing defect elimination strategies to improve system reliability and performance.Platform Expertise: You’ll develop and maintain applications using RPG, RPGLE, CL, and Synon2/E on the AS/400 platform, leveraging IBMi SQL for data operations. Your deep understanding of these technologies will be critical in modernizing legacy systems and integrating new functionalities.Project Leadership: You’ll lead medium to large-scale projects, managing timelines, deliverables, and team coordination. You’ll ensure that technical solutions are delivered on time and within scope, while maintaining alignment with strategic goals.Healthcare System Integration (Preferred): If you have experience with RxClaim or other PBM adjudication systems, you’ll contribute to healthcare-related application enhancements, ensuring compliance and performance within regulated environments.Continuous Improvement: You’ll regularly analyze incident trends and system performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and proactively address potential issues before they impact operations.
