Position Overview We are looking for a Senior Platform & Cloud Engineer who brings deep technical expertise in building cloud-native, reusable, and scalable backend platforms to power our smart home automation ecosystem. This role blends platform engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and performance-focused development. You will also mentor 1–2 junior developers and manage multiple modules across the platform. Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, secure, and reusable cloud-native backend architectures. Architect and manage containerized services, VPC networking, and platform security on AWS. Build internal libraries and SDKs for platform-wide reuse. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable high deployment velocity. Optimize backend systems for performance and memory efficiency. Manage distributed caching and robust data models supporting IoT and mobile applications. Understand and apply messaging queue delivery semantics (e.g., at-least-once, exactly-once). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive scalable solutions and integrations. Mentor junior engineers and own multiple modules end-to-end. Key Measures of Success High-performing and scalable cloud infrastructure Increased team efficiency via reusable libraries Reduced production incidents due to performance and memory issues Timely and stable releases via CI/CD pipelines Effective mentorship of junior engineers Key Competencies Hands-on expertise with AWS , containers (Docker ), and VPC networking Proficient in TypeScript and either Go or Python (plus shell scripting) Strong foundation in data modeling , caching strategies, and message queues Proven performance optimization and debugging skills Familiarity with CI/CD , design patterns, and scalability best practices Qualifications 4–7 years of experience in backend/platform engineering Proven ability to lead module-level execution and mentor developers Track record of delivering scalable, reliable, and secure systems Keus Culture Join a team that is passionate about innovation and excellence .
