Job Summary

A dynamic role for someone who lives and breathes internet culture, knows how to tell engaging stories, and can transform complex rocketry concepts into compelling content that captures audience attention. You will be responsible for managing Skyroot's entire social media presence and creating content that effectively communicates our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage Skyroot's social presence across Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and emerging platforms
  • Ideate, create, and publish diverse content formats including carousels, short-form videos, tweetstorms, stories, and more
  • Manage and execute a dynamic content calendar in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Transform complex technical work into relatable, engaging stories
  • Monitor and leverage trends, news, and relevant internet moments
  • Track, analyze, and report on key social metrics, using insights to refine strategy
  • Lead employee advocacy initiatives to empower Skyroot team members in amplifying our story online

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field (preferred)

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience managing and growing social media for brands or community pages
  • Demonstrated success in content creation and community engagement
  • Experience in video production and editing

Skills

  • Excellent creative abilities to put AI's cookie-cutter content to shame
  • Hands-on video production and editing capabilities
  • Ability to simplify complex technical topics for general audiences
  • Strategic thinking combined with execution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
