About Dr. Paws:

Dr. Paws is a chain of new-age veterinary clinics, headquartered in Bangalore. We aim to make visits to the vet, a friendly, homely, and comfortable experience. We do this by creating clinics with calming and welcoming interiors and providing extremely hospitable and caring services for pets and their parents. Our clinics have everything a pet parent would need under one roof (vet consults, grooming, pet retail, diagnostics, imaging, surgeries, etc.)

Position Overview:

We seek a dedicated and experienced Veterinarian to oversee complex medical cases, provide mentorship to junior veterinarians, and ensure the delivery of high-quality care across all veterinary operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a diverse team of veterinary professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care for both pets and their Parents while contributing to the professional development of junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Treatment, Client Relationships, and Compliance:

  • Lead and manage complex medical cases
  • Providing the best treatment for any pet visiting the clinic
  • Build strong client relationships, providing empathetic and informative communication
  • Professionally manage challenging client interactions
  • Ensure timely and accurate medical record documentation
  • Lead and manage complex or high-stakes medical cases
  • Handle escalated medical concerns with expert advice and solutions
  • Stay updated on current veterinary trends, techniques, and research
  • Stay informed of evolving regulations and ensure practices meet legal and professional requirements

Mentor Junior Vets:

  • Lead and mentor junior veterinarians to enhance their clinical skills
  • Oversee medical cases, ensuring accurate diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
  • Conduct regular training sessions and provide hands-on assistance during complex procedures
  • Monitor adherence to veterinary standards and clinic protocols

Manage Clinical Operations:

  • Perform audits of medical records, diagnoses, and treatments for accuracy and completeness
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Offer input on clinic operations, efficiency, and improvements
  • Lead or participate in in-house education and external conferences
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, veterinary standards, and clinic policies

Who should apply:

  • Senior Doctor: Minimum 4–6 years of clinical experience with strong leadership skills.
  • Junior Doctor: 0–3 years of experience, with a learning mindset and basic clinical confidence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for animals and dedication to improving their health outcomes.
  • Knowledge of veterinary medical laws and regulations, with a commitment to compliance and high standards of practice
