Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in design & development, preferably in the pharmaceutical machinery, engineering, or manufacturing sector.
- Strong expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, etc.).
- Proven leadership & team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T, and material selection.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Exposure to pharma equipment design & regulatory standards will be an added advantage.
Role & Responsibility
- Lead and manage the design & development of new products and machinery in the NPD department.
- Execute retrofit projects and develop innovative design concepts for packaging and food machinery.
- Translate customer and business needs into reliable, cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Perform stress analysis, load calculations, and select appropriate materials for durability and efficiency.
- Utilize CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks for design, development, and modifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure feasibility, compliance, and smooth execution.
- Mentor and guide design engineers, ensuring quality and timely deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain design documentation, drawings, BOMs, and records.
- Drive value engineering, continuous improvement, and design optimization.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and product approvals.
- Deliver design solutions on time for Pharma projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory standards.
