Profile : Civil Design Engineer Location : Mumbai Experience : 5 years Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Design Engineer with expertise in the RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) domain to join our team in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience in designing civil structures with proficiency in tools like STAAD.Pro and ETABS . This role will involve designing, analyzing, and ensuring the integrity and safety of critical infrastructure within the oil and gas industry. Key Responsibilities: Perform structural analysis and design of civil and RCC structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Use STAAD.Pro and ETABS for structural modeling, analysis, and design of foundations, buildings, equipment support structures, and other civil works. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineers, to ensure seamless integration of civil designs. Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and reports to support project deliverables. Conduct site inspections and technical assessments during the construction phase to ensure adherence to design specifications. Review and approve vendor drawings and material submittals. Ensure all civil and structural designs comply with the relevant safety standards, regulations, and codes applicable in the oil and gas sector. Troubleshoot design issues and provide solutions to meet project goals and timelines. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil design engineering, specifically within the Oil & Gas industry . Proficiency in STAAD.Pro and ETABS for structural analysis and design. Strong understanding of RCC design principles and applicable international standards and codes. Experience with foundation design (shallow and deep foundations) and structural detailing . Solid understanding of structural behavior under different loading conditions. Familiarity with the relevant design codes such as AISC, IS, Eurocodes, or equivalent. Knowledge of seismic design considerations, wind loads, and other environmental factors affecting structural design. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Experience in designing structures for offshore platforms, refineries, or petrochemical plants . Familiarity with other software tools such as AutoCAD , Revit , or SAP2000 is a plus.
