Cloud Engineering Architect.

Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineering Architect to lead the design and implementation of our next-generation cloud-based data platform.

You will play a crucial role in shaping our technical strategy, architecture, and best practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

This role requires deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a strong background in distributed computing principles.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement cloud-native solutions for our new data platform.

- Develop and maintain cloud architecture blueprints, patterns, and best practices.

- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align cloud strategies with business needs.

- Establish governance frameworks for cloud resource management, security, and compliance.

- Mentor and guide cloud engineers on best practices and solution implementations.

- Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and evaluate their impact.

- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in product-based companies, with at least 5 years in cloud architecture and engineering.

- Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP and their cloud services.

- Strong understanding of distributed computing principles and modern data architectures.

- Experience in migrating legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.

- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.

- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders.

Preferred Skills :

- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP (e.g, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).

- Experience with data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Airflow).

- Knowledge of serverless computing and microservices architectures.

- Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
