About Function/Department

The Product & Technology (P&T) Department is a forward-thinking dedicated initiative to transforming our newsroom through the seamless integration of cutting-edge technology and editorial excellence. P&T plays a critical role in driving the evolution of news production by leveraging AI-powered solutions , automation tools, and smart software integrations to optimise workflows and enhance the content generation experience for the editorial staff.

Our department focuses on enabling smarter newsroom operations, using artificial intelligence to automate tasks, enable newsroom to leverage AI & improve content curation. By streamlining processes and connecting systems, we remove bottlenecks and improve collaboration across teams, allowing journalists to focus on delivering timely, high-quality content.

We also aim to enhance audience engagement by developing innovative, AI-driven tools and interactive platforms. Whether it's through personalized recommendations or advanced data analytics, we are constantly working to create deeper connections with our readers across print, digital, and emerging channels.

About the Position

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Senior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing the designs from the UI/UX point of view by keeping the end user perspective in mind. Interaction design skills (UI control elements, navigational constructs, information architecture) - understand common desktop and web-application software UI patterns.
You will collaborate closely with the development, Brand/Marketing teams to visualize, conceptualize & create innovative designs for online/offline products and campaigns. The ideal candidate should have a passion for Visual Design, strong proficiency in web design tools, and a keen eye for detail.

Areas of Responsibility


• Create visually engaging and user-friendly designs for web pages, landing pages, and digital marketing materials.

• Develop mockups, prototypes, and wireframes to present design concepts and ideas.

• Ensure that design elements are aligned with brand guidelines, delivering a consistent brand identity across digital platforms.

• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration of design elements into web pages and applications.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies to maintain innovative design practices.

• Optimize designs for various devices, ensuring mobile-first, responsive, and accessible user experiences.

• Work on visual design and layouts for email campaigns, banners, and other digital assets.

• Revise designs based on feedback from stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of design projects.

Educational Qualifications Required


• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, Web Design, Visual Arts, or a related field from a reputed institute.

Relevant Experience


• 6+ years of experience Graphics and Graphic Design skills.
Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in Design/UI Wireframing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Figma, Sketch, or similar tools.

• Strong understanding of web design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and user-centered design.

• Experience in creating responsive, mobile-first designs for various screen sizes and devices.

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles for collaboration with frontend developers.

• Ability to work in an iterative, agile design environment and receive and implement feedback.

• Understanding of web accessibility principles and best practices.

• Familiarity with design systems and style guides to ensure consistency in design work.
Good to Have:

• Exceptional creative thinking and the ability to translate ideas into visually engaging designs.

• Basic understanding of SEO principles to optimize images and designs for search engines.

• Ability to present and explain design concepts clearly to stakeholders
