Job Overview :

As a Cyber Security Specialist at XtraNet Technologies, you will be responsible for safeguarding our clients' IT environments by implementing and maintaining effective information security measures.

You will monitor, audit, and enhance security postures across our network infrastructure, servers, operating systems, and associated components.

The role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity technologies, the ability to conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with industry security standards.

You will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders to assess and mitigate risks to the organization's digital assets.

Key Responsibilities :

- Oversee the information security of network infrastructure, server operating systems, and associated components, ensuring they adhere to best practices and industry standards.

- Implement, monitor, and manage security policies and protocols for the entire network infrastructure and critical IT components.

- Continuously assess and improve the security posture of systems by identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating risks.

- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments on network equipment, servers, and operating systems.

- Analyze results from audits and assessments to identify weaknesses and propose security improvements or solutions.

- Work with relevant teams to schedule and perform periodic security audits, ensuring timely resolution of vulnerabilities.

- Maintain, configure, and optimize security tools and technologies such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), firewalls, WAF (Web Application Firewalls), DDoS protection, and endpoint security systems.

- Ensure that security solutions, including Trend Micro and MicroFocus ArcSight SIEM, are effectively integrated and performing at optimal levels.

- Document security incidents, threats, vulnerabilities, and actions taken for compliance and future reference.

- Provide regular reports to the Project Director and senior management regarding the state of information security and incidents affecting the organization.

- Generate metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of security measures and initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in MicroFocus ArcSight or other SIEM tools for real-time monitoring, log management, and threat detection.

- Experience with Fortinet firewalls and network security devices to safeguard perimeter networks and internal assets.

- In-depth knowledge of DDoS mitigation solutions such as Array for protecting against distributed denial-of-service attacks.

- Proficiency with Array Web Application Firewall (WAF) for protecting web applications from threats like SQL injection, XSS, etc.

- Hands-on experience with HIPS (Host Intrusion Prevention Systems) and NIPS (Network Intrusion Prevention Systems) to monitor and prevent security breaches.

- Expertise in endpoint protection technologies, particularly Trend Micro products like Trend Micro Endpoint Security and Deep Discovery Email Inspector for detecting APTs (Advanced Persistent Threats).

- Proficient in deploying and managing Anti-APT tools like Trend Micro Deep Discovery Analyzer to identify and mitigate advanced threats.

Experience :

- 7+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on network security, vulnerability management, incident response, and the implementation of security technologies.

- Proven experience with SIEM, Firewalls, DDoS protection, Endpoint security, and other network and application security tools.

- Hands-on experience in security monitoring, patch management, incident handling, and securing infrastructure in enterprise environments
