About the Role : We're looking for "Compliance Research Team Lead - Tax Compliance - Payroll & Taxes", it's a fully remote opportunity.

MUST HAVES :

  • 6+ years of experiences in Multi Country Payroll Taxes & Compliance Research
  • Should be from Payroll Outsourcing or Big4 Firms

Key Responsibilities :

The Compliance Research Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the compliance regulations function, ensuring that payroll software meets global regulatory requirements. This role involves leading a team of compliance analysts, managing regulatory research, and ensuring the accurate and timely implementation of compliance changes. The Compliance Regulations Team Lead collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, including the product compliance, development, and legal teams, to align compliance efforts with business objectives.

  • Oversee the regulation team's activities, ensuring research is conducted effectively and aligns with compliance objectives.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to team members throughout the regulatory research process, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain and enforce a strong research methodology to ensure continuous compliance across a global payroll footprint.
  • Keep abreast of existing and emerging legislation and define its appropriate interpretation and application.
  • Build alliances with regional tax authorities, in-country experts, and tax advisors to ensure adherence to tax administration.
  • Review and validate all regulation team outcomes, including tax simulations and other compliance-related artifacts.
  • Ensure all tax compliance deliverables are high quality, theoretically accurate, and delivered on time.
  • Translate the impact of new and updated tax legislation, documenting changes and communicating them effectively through updated artifacts and internal knowledge-sharing.
  • Collaborate with business streams and stakeholders to ensure the feasibility and practicality of compliance scope.
