Application Packaging and Deployment Specialist

Computacenter GIS business unit is seeking a confident and experienced Application Packaging and Deployment professionals, to bring maturity to their existing approach.  The ideal candidate will have broad experience in Intune and Jamf and can create a plan to deliver improvements then execute against the plan.

Good communication skills and relationship building will enable the candidate to excel at the role, build a culture of strong team and advance their career within Computacenter.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Package, test, and deploy software applications using industry-standard packaging tools and techniques (e.g., MSI, Intunewin32, App-V, PowerShell, MSIX etc.)
  • Develop and maintain packaging standards and best practices to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality of application lifecycle processes.
  • Maintain effective local documentation including standard operating procedures, best practices, troubleshooting procedures and methodologies for application packaging.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex application packaging-related issues escalated from support teams, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain skills in Intune and JamF required for application packaging and deployment.
  • Stay updated on the newest trends, tools, and technologies in application packaging, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

 

What you’ll need

  • At least 3+ years of professional experience in the application packaging and deployment environment, ideally in the Microsoft Intune and/or JamF.
  • Preference is given to candidates showing an intermediate knowledge of the underlaying management platform Intune and JamF
  • Capable of extracting reports through SQL or KQL
  • Expertise in PowerShell scripting
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Distinct ability to work in a team
