As a member of the Primavera CoE, you will be tasked with defining and executing strategic roadmaps, focusing on initiatives that support business objectives and meet On Time Delivery (OTD) targets. By leveraging key technologies, processes, and domain expertise, you will drive execution across multiple interdependent projects within a program. You will manage interfaces across applications that support and drive cross-functional and cross-system initiatives around Pulse, UDC (Universal Data Center – a homegrown platform), Primavera P6, Time Control, and Primavera Unifier.

You will lead globally distributed technical vendor teams, ensuring they meet Safety Quality Delivery Cost (SQDC) targets and requirements. You will provide tactical direction, balancing the development of new capabilities, driving reuse, maintenance activities, issue resolution, technical debt, vulnerability management, and addressing the latest business priorities to enhance the team's quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.

This role is crucial in ensuring consistency in tools, software architecture, and data integration strategy within your domains and across the Gas Power application landscape. Additionally, you will define standard work within your domain of responsibility and establish lean execution standards and processes for project teams, in partnership with the Gas Power Lean organizations and the DT Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO).

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Interacts with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback.
  • Demonstrate superior product and industry knowledge and helps organization to gain the competitive edge.
  • Manage day-to-day execution of multiple interdependent projects by working directly with global technical teams across Vernova, supporting resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies
  • Works with cross-functional teams to deliver features and major, complex products across Vernova business by leveraging the Primavera CoE solutions
  • Possesses a deep understanding of the technology stack and impact on final product.
  • Routinely collaborates with UX, Architecture and engineering teams on multiple issues and decisions.
  • Own the Pulse application (SOX) and drive the program according to Application Owner standard work processes.
  • Demonstrates expert persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and software engineering teams
  • Owns the release and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases.
  • Owns and manages the backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes to ensure that PI and sprints are always ready.
  • Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs.
  • Demonstrates strategic expert level skills in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.
  • Engages frequently (50% of the time) with the development team; facilitates discussions, provides clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.
  • Translates unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units.
  • Partners with Development Leadership to ensure healthy development process.
  • Mentors junior team members.
  • Provide technical leadership to TPMs across organization. Expert in Agile Methodology and SAFe: Coaches others.

  • Experience in leading high performance software engineering teams in delivering enterprise software products
  • Significant IT program leadership and support experience. Program leadership skills include project initiation, scoping, resource allocation, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and communication 
  • Significant applications design, development, testing and deployment experience
  • Strong leadership experience including anticipating customer needs, inclusiveness and comprehensive projects delivery.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex systems and business processes to effectively apply knowledge to solution identification and delivery 
  • Skilled in negotiation to align stakeholders and communicate a single synthesized perspective to the scrum team
  • Experience working in a global environment with offshore support teams

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent knowledge / experience
  • 8+ years of experience in IT
  • Demonstrable history of delivering quality IT projects on schedule 
  • Significant IT experience with business systems and their influence on business functions
  • Strong leadership experience in a complex and fast pace changing environment
