You will be working as Domain Specialist at global grade 13 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Project Manager and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP) by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions. Acting as the first point of contact in Research and Development (R&D) or software development or product engineering for specific productrelated issues and maintenance.

R&D Project Manager

Your role and responsibilities

. Having good knowledge about the processes followed in pulp and paper industries with experience in developing and
implementing production or processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most costefficient manner
Investigating and resolving workinprocess problems, recommends and implement improvements or modifications in the
sequence of operations
Responsible for all phases of assigned standard development cycle of the projects, ensuring the successful conclusion of
all phases within an appropriate time
Having good analytical skills in analyzing the product requirements and help the team to understand by writing user
stories
Having strong affinity with software development and deep understanding of the problem domain, an analytical mind, a
vision on the solutions that are required, and are in touch with the needs of our users
Knowledge about SCADA systems, ABB 800xA will be an added advantage. Domain knowledge of Pulp & Paper industry
will be helpful in understanding the customer requirement

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelorâs or masterâs degree in engineering
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in processes followed in pulp and paper industries with experience in 800XA/DCS/
  • PLC /Scada
  • Experience with Agile principles, Scrum and Azure DevOps
  • Good at problem solving skills and can articulate the solution to a complex problem in a structured manner
  • Having handson experience with software development is an added advantage
  • Strong knowledge in pulp & paper domain
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal) in English
