Position: SAP HANA Cloud Basis Administrator

 

Licenses and / or certificates:  SAP, HANA, SSL, DB, OS, SSO, DBA, R/3, BASIS, ITIL

 

Responsibilities: 

  1. Role is expected to have on-call responsibilities interaction with clients for consultation, project execution, SAP landscape performance tuning, and other activities associated with support of leveraged SAP environments
  2. Work with OS & DB Administrators for optimal SAP Performance
  3. Database administration SAP HANA, ability to perform database upgrades, apply Fix packs, optimizing and tuning databases, handle nightly backups and their integration with third party backup systems, backup and restore strategies, database security, database problem determination and resolution
  4. Manage system performance, upgrades, corrections, and transport management (CTS/TMS), client and landscape strategies, batch scheduling
  5. Provide technical upgrades functional and technical enhancements
  6. Installation, upgrade and maintenance of SAP and SAP related software products
  7. Maintain HANA database, perform patch and service stack upgrades
  8. SAP XI including the installation of adapters provided by SAP and external partners, configuration of the required system connections to partner systems and activation of basic XI monitoring
  9. Perform SAP Software Installation, maintenance and administration of UNIX and Windows based servers running SAP FI/HR/SRM/Portal, Solution Manager, Fiori, Hana, Gateway, SAP Cloud appliances)
  10. Daily monitoring, administrating, troubleshooting and tuning of all SAP systems
  11. Monitoring all SAP Architecture.
  12. Manage landscape synchronization activities such as system clone and refresh activities.
  13. Manage early watch alerts and plan system maintenance activities.
  14. Manage the resolution of help desk tickets.
  15. Manage application server load balancing, printer troubleshooting and spool administration.
  16. Plan and perform disaster recovery testing.
  17. Plan and perform high availability testing.
  18. Manage overall SAP note implementations, security certificate installations, and drive technical SAP incidents to resolution.
  19. Manage the transport requests management system and perform change transport requests movements across the landscape.
  20. Document and maintain landscape diagrams and component versions.
  21. Manage access control based on SOD.
  22. Provide user access and authorizations.
  23. Troubleshoot and resolve access and authorization related incidents.
  24. Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  25. Work closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff.
  26. Assist with the delivery of special projects/enhancements and reviewing and improving policies and procedures.
