“Data Privacy Engineering Services” team works on one of the most strategic topics in SAP which is the Data Privacy and Protection (DPP) reuse services in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

These services help manage different data privacy regulations like the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR)

Data Privacy Services acts as the central framework for managing privacy of personal data on BTP. Objective of the team is to build cross platform reuse services in accordance with the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Many customers who are currently in the planning and execution phase of transitioning to Intelligent Enterprise, are optimizing their current system landscape. This activity can bring about a situation where many of the current production systems become future legacy systems. This leaves an important question of how to manage the systems in a cost effective yet compliant manner. To cater to these use cases, the team is expanding its suit of services to also cater to Data Management services.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• University Degree (B.E or equivalent) in Computer Science or related engineering subject

• Good understanding of cloud concepts and cloud technologies is a plus  

• Setting up CI/CD pipelines (e.g. with Piper) and adopting CI/CD practices

• Scripting Languages:
  Any one of the following – Groovy, Bash, Golang, Java, JavaScript, Python

• Knowledge on operating and maintaining service operations on K8s (Kubernetes) would be an added advantage

• Knowledge on Observability and Resilience on Kubernetes

• Knowledge in SAP Cloud Platforms and Runtimes, e.g., Gardener, Kyma, Cloud Foundry

• Experience using Hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

• Good problem-solving skills

• Passionate about learning new Products & Technology

• Ability to work in highly agile team

• Good communication skills, team player and self-driven

Following additional skills would be an advantage:

• Test Driven Development - TDD

• Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD Delivery concepts

• Working experience on SAP Managed Kyma

• Working experience on managing SAP HANA Cloud instances

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Understand the concept of DPP reuse services and become an expert in managing DPP in SAP BTP

• Responsible for effective and efficient delivery of customer environments in Cloud of respective product lines and to ensure the delivery according to defined Service Level Agreement

• DevOps activities for implementing, running, improving and integrating CI/CD related services.  

• Secure Deployment: Assuring secure and compliant deliveries

• Contribution to improve cloud qualities of our CI/CD services like Jenkins as a Service or GitHub

• Proactively check for Infrastructure cost optimization

• Have extended knowledge in various technologies (e.g. platform, runtimes, database) used by development and operations

• Define deployment automation framework and drive automation and standardization

• Ensure smooth operations and maximize uptime

• Will be expected to work in an agile development team. Collaborate effectively with a team of enthusiastic developers to deliver the cloud solutions.

• Enhance service monitoring and implement recovery mechanism for our services

• Execute technical tasks to ensure efficient delivery of system landscape support core tasks in the assigned functional areas of responsibility

• Integrate and collaborate closely with development teams and work with them on outputs from product improvements

• Perform in-depth troubleshooting and log analysis to identify and solve complex support issues

• Need to take up full responsibility for accepted tasks and therefore demonstrate a high level of Commitment, Quality, Speed, Reliability and Efficiency.

• Enhance skills beyond own core and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team

WORK EXPERIENCE

3 - 6 years of experience in Software Engineering.
