NA Position Purpose

GLOSS is a trade processing system that automates the complete life cycle of the trade starting from trade capture to trade enrichment, confirmation, settlement, P&L calculation and accounting of the trade. GLOSS is being used for BNP Paribas Tokyo and BNP Paribas Hong-Kong branches.

The candidate will join the Gloss Lite IT team working as a developer. Gloss Lite is a custody application written in .Net and uses Sybase ASE 15.5 as database.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

·       Design/develop in Windows/C#/ASP.Net for Gloss Lite.

·       Good knowledge of MVC.

·       Provide Contribution in their development process, architecture and design.

·       Oversee infrastructure/Core development, configuration, scalability and performance of the enterprise.

·       Perform periodic peer code reviews.Provide level 3 technical production support for Windows applications.

Identify external and internal dependencies w.r.t the planned tasks and publish the remediation plan for overcoming the dependencies. Ensuring that the project and organization standards are followed during various phases of software development life cycle and day-to-day development work. Maintain administration tasks; i.e. Jira to record progress against tasks, OneNote for documentation and Clarity for booking in time, etc

Contributing Responsibilities

•       Strong problem solving and analytic ability. Very Solid DotNet skills.

•       Self-managing and independent and knows how to move project forward.

•       Provide guidance and Team player and understand cross cultural awareness. Technical & Behavioral Competencies

·       2+ years’ experience in software development and system architecture with Microsoft technologies.

·       Expert knowledge of C# and ASP.Net Framework (4.0 and above).

·       Good knowledge of MVC and Object Oriented programming.

·       Expert working knowledge of Threading.

·       Good knowledge of Winforms.

·       Expert knowledge of WCF and its configuration and SOA.

·       Proven record in refactoring, reengineering and tuning SOA modules

·       Working knowledge of Bit-bucket, Git, teamcity, Jenkins and Dev/Ops CI/CD pipeline.

·       Exposure to Capital Markets or the broader financial industry.

·       Detailed working knowledge of Database design and SQL development tuning is required.

·       Detailed Knowledge of Sybase ASE.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in creating technical documentation.

·       Ability to work independently with Business Users/PMO; defining development requirements, managing technical aspects of User Acceptance Testing Specific Qualifications (if required)
