Purpose of Role

As a part of the Advisory, Consulting Solutions team in Knowledge Services function of MMGS, the candidate will support our colleagues in the Europe region, with sales enablement, and working on high-impact advisory engagements related to Strategic Risk Consulting areas such as Enterprise Risk Management, Business Resilience and ESG.

We will count on you to:

  • Partner with leadership team to set the strategic direction and expand the capabilities, scale and scope of the team through intensive, hands-on leadership
  • Drive and deliver high-impact research and advisory engagements. Incubate new research, data analytics and benchmarking capabilities, enable innovation, drive organization wide initiatives and expand the range of proprietary knowledge assets
  • Manage delivery of the team on research and advisory projects by monitoring performance to ensure productivity, timeliness and quality of reports
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders through high quality project delivery, responsiveness and agile and clear communication. counsel consultants and clients on the scope of the business and economic trends surrounding the issue, and provide insights and analysis
  • Actively contribute to report writing and the development of bespoke models
  • Assimilate and analysing data, craft working models (excel based), develop and test hypotheses and prepare recommendations for presentation to client management
  • Identify and develop tailored concepts for risk recognition, measurement, and control
  • Build solutions that is a combination of quantitative and qualitative inputs and techniques
  • Conduct extensive research to enhance the output and improve the value proposition of the current solution
  • Leverage a solid understanding of business trends, issues, and concepts, to respond efficiently to complex research questions by delivering synthesized, actionable facts and insights to our consulting teams and clients

What you need to have: 

  • Masters / Bachelors in Economics or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) / Statistics / Econometrics etc. equivalent post-graduation certification from a reputed institute
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in strategy advisory, research (quantitative and qualitative | secondary) experience, at a leading professional services / consulting firm / market intelligence / research firm
  • Experience in consulting projects and conducting independent secondary research
  • Deep understanding of global marketplace, key trends, economic and geo-political developments, technological developments, global supply chain, and key business and financial risks
  • Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to risk, strategy, ESG, ERM, supply chain, etc.
  • Strong ability to weave a story using multiple data points. Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
  • Able to leverage key statistical tools and technologies â Python, NLP, Statistics, SQL,Gen-AI, and visualisation tools  to identify the insights hidden within huge volumes of numeric and textual data
  • Strong foundation of qualitative and quantitative research including clarity on statistical concepts with ability to translate data into meaningful insights
  • Strong understanding of strategy frameworks (Porterâs 5 forces, BCG Matrix, Mckinsey 7s etc.) and their applications in bringing out cutting edge insights
  • Extensive exposure to information databases such as: S&P Cap IQ, Merger Market, Factiva, and open source datasets  etc.
  • Great written and verbal communication
  • A team player with extraordinary interpersonal skills
  • Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

What makes you stand out:

  • CFA/GARP/ CERT CII / CPCU / AINS / ARM
  • Familiarity with core statistical concepts e.g., correlation, regressions, significance values, etc.
  • Exposure, experience in risk consulting or insurance / re-insurance related research or advisory support in related verticals would be preferred
  • Ability to take initiatives to strive for improvement in analytical techniques, processes and outputs
