Department: Material management and planning.

Job Family Description: Materials and planning is part of supply chain, including purchasing and procurement functions. This role corresponds to a purchasing associate, who will be responsible for PO management and release.

Summary of responsibilities: Beckman coulter life sciences, Bangalore is looking for a purchasing associate to create & manage POs for expense purchases. This role would also extend to manage the receipts for these purchases, including write-offs to projects outside the ERP system. The role would require an understanding of basic PO process, creation, approvals and follow up. Additionally, knowledge on receipts for POs, order management for CAPEX would be considered add-on. The incumbent would be in charge of maintaining the POs, necessary documentation for receipts for expense buys and Service GRNs. Experience working with ERP system such as Oracle or SAP will be sought.

Boundary Conditions/Authority Levels : Receives minimal instructions on day to day work, will be authorized to create POs on behalf of Beckman coulter life sciences Bangalore and release them subject to necessary approvals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Purchase Order creation and approval (Expense material, Standard purchases, CAPEX)

  • Vendor Follow ups regarding shipments, ensuring on-time delivery for POs.

  • Receiving transaction and miscellaneous Transaction for expense items materials in Oracle as applicable.

  • Order Management Transaction for Capital goods (Internal Capex shipment).

  • Generating service invoice GRNs and transfer the same to finance for payment.

  • Updating GRN report in finance excel Tracker.

  • Support warehouse team in in-warding the manufacturing consumables and R&D materials with good condition.

  • Generating the GRN for correct quantity as per vendor invoice with verification against PO.

  • Managing material transfer to next function post processing GRNs.

  • Maintain received goods and service invoices data in suitable format.

  • Support in DBS continuous improvement as per role demand.

  • On time KPI updation for bowlers.

  • Language : English (French would be a plus)

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in with 2+ years of experience in procurement preferably in manufacturing industry. ERP expertise preferred such as Oracle.
