Associate Director- Corporate Tax
Our client is a leading Business Consulting firm looking to hire an Associate Director- Taxation consulting based in Delhi.
As the Associate Director of Taxation Consulting, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the Corporate taxation consulting within the organization for clients across India and other international markets. You will be responsible for providing strategic guidance on complex tax matters to the existing clients and internal teams, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and optimizing tax strategies to achieve client's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the taxation consulting team, providing mentorship and guidance to achieve departmental goals
- Must be an active contributor in developing new clients promoting growth in the practice.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes
- Provide expert advice on international and domestic tax matters, transfer pricing, and tax implications of business transactions.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique tax challenges and formulate tailored solutions.
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Manage client relationships, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to support clients and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and review tax returns, provision calculations, and other tax-related documents.
- Lead tax controversy resolution efforts, including representing clients in dealings with tax authorities.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal development and client presentations.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the taxation consulting practice.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics and financial targets for the department.
- Ensure adherence to professional standards, ethics, and quality in all client engagements.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant with 10 + years of strong Direct & Corporate Taxation experience within the consulting environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Strong client management skills with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex tax issues.
- Project management expertise, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple engagements.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to articulate complex tax strategies to diverse audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proven track record in driving business growth and contributing to the success of the taxation consulting practice.
- Thorough understanding of financial and accounting principles related to tax planning and compliance.
- Experience with tax technology tools and software applications for efficient tax management.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity and excellence.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, trainings, and other business-related activities.
