Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Unix Production Support Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for providing 24/7 support for our critical production systems, ensuring their uptime, stability, and performance, migration. You will work closely with development teams to identify and resolve production issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will work in Afternoon shift (1 PM IST to 9.30 PM IST).

Job Responsibilities

5+ years of experience in L2/L3 application and production support.

Strong knowledge of Unix, SQL, and Unix shell scripting.

Strong Knowledge on RHEL 7/8 servers Platform.

Strong experience creating Jenkins pipelines.

Provide expert-level support for Unix-based production systems.

Participate in the entire application lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, release, and deployment.

Experience in incident triage, log analysis, platform stability, and ITIL operations processes.

Experience in release and deployment processes.

Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues., including configuration, dependencies, and deployments.

Analyze logs, diagnose incidents, and identify root causes to implement effective solutions.

Collaborate with development, operations, infrastructure, and database teams to optimize application performance.

Respond to and resolve incidents within established SLAs.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.

Proactively monitor system health and performance to prevent potential issues.

Diagnose and troubleshoot incidents efficiently, minimizing downtime.

Perform root cause analysis to identify the underlying cause of issues and prevent recurrence.

Document incidents, resolutions, and escalations following established procedures.

Continuously improve processes and procedures for efficient production support.

Maintain a strong understanding of the production environment and its dependencies.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Participate in on-call rotations and work shifts or weekends as needed.

Working effectively with international Clients/stakeholders (US and UK) for clear and concise communication.

Excellent communication (written & verbal) in English.

Willingness to learn new technologies.
