Job Description

 

1. Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job

 

  • The innovative and effective deployment of data and analytics is key to the success of companies today. AkzoNobel is no exception as we seek to embed the improved understanding of data across the company. Identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize the use of data within our R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales, Finance, HR, and Sourcing Functions have been services delivered from our MDM Global Organization over the last few years. We need additional support in these areas with a strong focus on the MDM reporting & analytics capabilities (demand/supply and portfolio management) for the Global MDM Dashboard, developed on an Alteryx/SQL/ PowerBI platforms. 

    For these reasons, GBS Master Data Services requires a Data Domain Expert to support the delivery of the StP roadmap.

 

2. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for (or support) the activities done by the CoE for the Sourcing and Finance data domain in alignment with the MDM roadmap. 
  • Working together with stakeholders on new dashboard requirements and translate them in technical requirements to address and handover the built to the responsible person in the team.
  • Monitor, and Improve data quality and processes based on the existing Alteryx and Power Bi dashboards.
  • Responsible for data monitoring, data analysis & data cleansing 
  • Defining data standards, cleansing (Get Clean) and monitoring (Dashboard/KPIs) of the data quality 
  • Continued focus on standardization and optimisation of data reports and dashboards. 
  • Ability to utilize metrics to identify opportunities for service improvement 
  • For the relevant data domain, drives standardized End to End Processes and Tools around MDM to Improve Quality of Delivery, Optimize Cost to Serve, Control & Compliance, and Enhancing Customer Experience. 
  • Support the MDS CoE Team Lead and Global Data architect to build an MDM roadmap for the relevant data domain. 
  • Support the scope and activities of projects and processes and ensures execution. 
  • Act as a change agent and communicator for MDS, enabling continuous commitment for and awareness of MDM. 
  • IM touchpoint, driving master data standardization, organizational and system alignment for the relevant data domain. 
  • Foster communication and teamwork within, and across organizational boundaries 
  • Ability to analyze, design and implement the need for MDM in complex landscapes, both from system perspective and organizational perspective for the relevant data domain. Proposes measures on optimizing tactical/strategic approaches and implements these. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Customer service mindset with excellent customer service skills 
  • Ability to build working relationships and foster communication with internal customers within, and across, organizational, and geographic boundaries 
  • Capable of managing multiple complex assignments including the ability to plan, assign and direct work

  • Ability to understand change management and drive to resolution - Experience in large company in a complex and international environment

3. Job Requirements:

  • Post-Graduation in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT or equivalent work experience 
  • Minimum 5 years’ overall experience with 2-3 years’ experience in data related function building dashboards.
  • Experience with SAP system (technical tables/ Fields) is a must.
  • Experience with Sourcing and Master data processes (Vendor masterdata and related objects such as PIR, Source List etc) is a must.
  • Experience with SAP Central finance (CFIN) preferable.
  • Experience with Coupa (Business Spend management platform) preferable.
  • Experience with SAP (ECC, S4HANA, Fiori) is a plus.
  • Experience in Project Management. Certification in this area is a plus. 
  • Experience in implementation of MDM processes 
  • Experience in interfacing with business operational customers 
  • Experience in data process improvement and root cause analysis 
  • Experience in data application systems development and implementation 
  • Experience in complex business environments 
  • Advanced Excel skills 
  • Leverages business understanding and its requirements in the design of the MDM project agreed end states/outcomes 
  • Experience in Alteryx/Power BI/ SQL dashboard or similar tooling’s is preferable but not required.
  • Keeps deadlines and produces high quality output 
  • Fosters a constructive dialogue with functions and key stakeholders 
  • Strong communicator and change agent 
  • Fluent in English. Verbally, as well as written. 
  • Independent and pro-active. 
  • Available for moderate travel
