Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Architect with a strong background in retail and exceptional programming abilities. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data architecture to support retail business operations and analytics initiatives.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable data architecture solutions.
Develop data models, data integration processes, and pipelines to capture and transform retail data.
Program in Spark to build and optimize data processing applications.
Apply optimization techniques to enhance performance and efficiency of data tasks.
Evaluate and implement tools like Databricks to streamline data operations.
Ensure data integrity and accessibility across the organization.
Define and enforce data governance best practices.
Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
Monitor and tune data systems for efficiency and stability.
Peer review team deliverables.
Manage change and release processes.
Stay updated on retail trends, data architecture advancements, and programming languages.

Requirements:

8 years of data engineering experience.
Proven Data Architect experience in retail.
Expertise in PySpark programming and optimization.
Hands-on experience with Databricks and Deltalake.
Experience in data modeling, integration, and ETL processes.
Knowledge of Gitlab pipelines and CI/CD designs.
Experience in AWS/Azure/GCP cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
Familiarity with Azure Data Engineering services.
Understanding of data governance, quality, and metadata management.
Strong SQL skills.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Good to have:

Infrastructure as code expertise.
Designing distributed data systems.
Software Engineering knowledge.
