The Opportunity:
Nutanix is seeking an Account Manager for the Government vertical in Delhi, India. The Account Manager will be responsible for selling Nutanix Products and Solutions through Channel Partners and engaging directly with Government customers in India, particularly the Public sector Undertakings, State govt entities, and some Central govt Departments. Collaboration with a Sales Engineer in the territory will also be a key aspect of this role.
To excel in this position, a solid grasp of the Govt segment, partners, consultants, and business dynamics is essential. Developing new accounts in PSU, State Govt & Ministries, and expanding within assigned accounts will be a crucial part of the role. Nutanix offers robust support and tools from Engineering, Marketing, and Product Development departments to help achieve sales performance goals. Close collaboration with partners and OEM's is necessary to drive sales team decisions and initiatives.
Responsibilities:

Utilize relationship management techniques to identify selling opportunities within PSU, State Govt entities, Central Govt Ministries, and expand within them.
Develop relationships within the partner ecosystem to discover new selling opportunities.
Work closely with customers to generate new direct selling opportunities.
Conduct consultative discussions with prospects regarding business issues, addressing their needs through formal quotes, proposals, or presentations.
Respond to RFPs and follow up with prospects.
Develop account plans tailored to customers' business needs.
Foster strong relationships with current accounts and new prospects.
Provide regular status updates and forecast information to Manager.
Organize training opportunities for accounts.
Identify Nutanix customer references for reference selling.
Provide product feedback to engineering to enhance Nutanix solutions.
Collaborate with OEM's and partners to deliver mutually beneficial solutions.

Requirements:

Proven experience working with PSU, State Govts, Central Ministries in the region.
Knowledge of applications, infrastructure players, tendering process, and decision-making process.
Familiarity with the Partner ecosystem within the segment.
Previous exposure to at least 4-5 large customers in PSU or running business in 3-4 states.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with technical acumen.
Ability to collaborate across departments and functions.
Experience with target account selling, solution selling, or consultative sales.
Understanding of technology solutions and the competitive landscape.
Ability to articulate business challenges and solutions to senior managers.
Proficiency in SFDC and other CRM software.
Successful track record of exceeding sales quotas over multiple years.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 15 years of Government sales experience preferred.
Expertise in technical specifications necessary to sell Nutanix products and services.
Experience selling server/storage/virtualization solutions.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
