Position: Testing and Validation Engineer
Location: Bangalore
We are currently seeking a validation engineer for our battery test team. This position requires an automotive professional with relevant experience testing early-stage vehicle prototypes as well as production ready vehicles. Our ideal candidate exhibits a strong drive, works well in a team, and has had prior experience bringing electric vehicles to production (homologation standards). Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

Create novel ways to apply skills learned in the test lab to benefit the company and our products.
Root cause and recreate failure modes.
Collaborate in the design and manufacturing of future products.
Design and fabricate test equipment for mechanical, thermal, and electrical systems.
Perform component, system, and vehicle validation by simulating realistic and accelerated dynamic and environmental conditions.
Identify and execute DOEs targeting new technologies or critical failures.
Investigate device failures to drive product development and test improvement.
Plan, setup professional DAQ and execute cell/battery pack testing including performance, durability, and fleet validation tests
Ensure test results are documented in a clear, concise and timely manner
Write and review battery test specifications
Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during testing
Experience in sensor instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
Experience in analyzing and managing test data from large data sets

Must Have Skills:

Instrumentation, Coding, Reliability Testing, JMP software knowledge, DOE process optimization, Quality management, Attention to details, characterization and validation, Previous experience with battery testing on proving grounds
A strong understanding of Li-ion battery systems
A strong understanding of battery testing regulations and standards
A strong knowledge of battery testing instrumentation and tools
Experience setting up experiments to achieve desired testing results
Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude
Comfortable with initiating and taking ownership of projects.

Experience: 2-5 Years
