  • Assist in defining the strategy, priorities and execution of CB's Data Assurance governance and control frameworks, supporting the design of end-to-end solutions for implementation and oversight of risks and controls for the Data Management and Execution Tower
  • Working the Data Management and Execution tower (Data Use, Data Quality, and Data Retention & Destruction risks) and implementing processes to support the assurance requirements teams operations
  • Working with internal clients to evaluate Data Use requests and identify any necessary business requirements, guardrails, conditions, and/or controls required to meet identified requirements
  • Prioritize Data Use requests against product roadmaps, key deadlines, project go-live dates and risk assessments actions
  • Coordinate business reviews to prepare and present Data Use request overviews, associated risks, and recommendations; Prepare for Data Use council review and approval support
  • Support the build-out of monitoring capabilities that will provide insights into data use requests, cases, conditions, actions to close issues and adherence to SLAs. Partner with stakeholders to develop and monitor API governance controls
  • Develop and maintain governance supports surrounding Data Use Council, Standards, procedures and process documents
  • Build and cultivate a culture a Data Assurance by focusing on partnership, collaboration and transparency with the stakeholders while serving as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for meeting data risk and control obligations
  • Provide leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) for the Information & Data Management Risks, ensuring that Data Assurance controls become a natural part of the common process lifecycle, thus reducing financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk
  • Provide ongoing monitoring, feedback and support awareness to strengthen workforce comprehension and execution of data assurance requirements
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of operational risk and control environment. Ensure data risks and issues impacting the business are identified, quantified, communicated, and managed, including recommendations for resolution and identifying the root cause and key themes
  • Partner to identify optimal outcomes, developing creative solutions to manage risk while ensuring that controls and processes are properly designed, sustainable and operating effectively

5+ Years overall experience and 3+ years relevant experience in strong Data Risk and Control mindset with analytical and organizational skills. Regional CDO for Data Privacy Risk (GDPR, CCPA, Privacy Incidents) and Data Storage Risk to provide better Data Governance and operating model Framework for Commercial Bank. Firmwide Policy and Governance for Enterprise Application like International Storage Regulations (regional, location, country and/or legal entity-specific) Data Localizations (In country Storage and Approval access).

  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills; solid critical-thinking and analysis in technical scenarios; attention to detail and able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate creative and innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Able to think about a problem from first principles, taking innovative approaches to address user needs and to work effectively in highly agile environments, delivering value whilst dealing with high degrees of uncertainty and continuous change
  • Knowledge of data control and risk management concepts with the ability to evaluate controls, procedures, and process flows in conjunction with business and control partners
  • Working in a matrix management model across globally diverse, virtual teams to deliver strategic initiatives and commitments, ideally leveraging product and Agile principles
  • Networking/interpersonal skills; exceptional collaboration, openness and relationship building skills
  • Process analysis and design acumen - ability to understand a process and associated risk to inform control design
  • Experience in data management tools (Collibra, Atlassian, JIRA and Confluence) and MS Office
  • Strong presentation skills, including generating presentations and effectively communicating to senior management
  • Experience collaborating/coordinating projects across multiple teams/constituents/Firmwide
  • Advanced analytic and problem-solving skills, including business process and root cause analysis and solution identification
  • Prior experience with Data Governance, Data Lineage, Privacy, Risk, Audit or Compliance is a plus
