Roles:
The battery pack engineering team works on multifaceted structural, electrical, and thermal problems. You have to design and develop the components and assemblies for production, testing, POC and drive the safety aspects of highly integrated batteries, and have a major influence on product direction. You will be responsible for the design and execution of battery testing to explore novel materials and new design concepts and ensuring Pravaig becomes a leader in battery technology.
Responsibilities:

Experience in structural, electrical, thermal, and mechanical battery systems.
Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and general mechanical engineering analysis.
Experience in battery design and development; 3-D CAD experience preferred.
Experience in sensor instrumentation and data acquisition systems preferred.
Experience in analyzing and managing test data from large data sets.
Knowledge of statistical analysis and design-of-experiment.
Great written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate well with management, peers, and suppliers.
Flexible and comfortable working in a quickly changing environment.
Experience in vendor qualification for manufacturing processes.
Expertise in design for the following production processes: injection moulding (plastics), extrusion (plastic or aluminum), metal stamping, die castings, sheet metal, and weldments.
Preparation and release of all 3D data, drawings, with the part required specifications.

Must have skills:

Problem-solving, analytical skills, knowledge in battery cell design, and material characterizations.
Take ownership of parts of the Battery Pack components, completing every aspect of component engineering development from concept to production.
Integrate mechanical designs with high voltage electrical systems in a multidisciplinary environment.
Experience and capabilities for DFM, DFMEA, PFMEA, and DFA.
Ability to interpret engineering/manufacturing drawings with Good knowledge of GD & T.
Working knowledge of various materials used for Battery Packaging & Electric Vehicles.
Results-oriented and dedicated with proven creative and critical thinking capabilities.
Remain flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity, and rapid development cycles.
Awareness of engineering standards and automotive regulations.
Comfortable with initiating and taking ownership of projects.

Good to Have:

Handling large data sets.
Statistical analysis.
Simulation experience.
Prior experience in a mass production environment.
Managing communication with vendors/ suppliers.
