Business Analysis Associate - Project Management


Description:


- Global Screening Operations (GSO) is a firm-wide utility responsible for all transaction, message and client list screening at JPMorgan across all lines of business. GSO works closely with Compliance and the Lines of Business to ensure that the appropriate data and formats are submitted for screening, that the policies and procedures associated to the process support a robust and controlled sanction screening program and that all required transaction and client data is screened. GSO is always an audit-ready state from both internal and external auditors, including regulators. The team operates in multiple sites in a 24 hr/ 7 day operating model: Manila, Mumbai, Singapore, Hyderabad, Delaware and Tampa are the core sites, and work closely with other screening departments around the globe.

- We are currently recruiting for an Associate to become part of the Global Screening Operations (GSO) Change Execution team. This role is responsible for leading and executing the delivery of GSO strategic projects. Driven by transformation and client demand, these are critical initiatives which require flawless execution to prevent Operational, LOB and client impact. The focus of this role will be to work with Technology, Operations and Compliance to deliver the Onboarding book of work, assess and provide status and collaborate on solving risks/issues and establishing "path to green" solutions. The candidate will work in an environment that offers significant exposure to key stakeholders along with senior management. The solutions we deliver are highly visible and impactful, which places a high expectation and premium on performance and results.

This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:

- Strong understanding of project management discipline and standards

- Knowledge and experience within the Payments space; lifecycles and supporting control services

- Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods; stakeholder, budget and risk management

- Ability to create and maintain relationships with key stakeholder groups across lines of business

- Functional knowledge of the Sanctions process a plus

- Experience with Jira issue tracking, demand and defect management (post implementation validation and support)

- Responsible for a variety of pre-implementation tasks required to support change events impacting GSO. Including but not limited to defining operating model, implementing procedures and SLAs, and facilitating training globally

- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

Skills Required:

- Strong communication, problem solving skills and a high aptitude for learning

- Prior experience as a business analyst/project manager

- Experience in facing stakeholders to identify scope and requirements

- Strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills

- Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills

- Strong communication, presentation (both oral and written) & influencing skills

- Strong partnership record and ability to build effective business relationships

- Extensive knowledge and experience utilizing the Microsoft office suite

- Experience working and partnering with Risk, Audit and Compliance a plus

- Experience working within an Agile development lifecycle a plus

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferable
