Job Description:
The Research Fellow position at IDSA offers a unique opportunity to contribute to research in social sciences and allied fields. As a Research Fellow, you will play a crucial role in enhancing research methodologies at the Institute and will be encouraged to take significant initiatives in your area of expertise in consultation with the Centre Coordinator. Your key responsibilities will include:
Publishing Books/Monographs and Research Papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Authoring policy briefs, issue briefs, book reviews, web commentaries, op-eds, articles, essays, occasional papers, and book chapters.
Organizing round tables, workshops, seminars, conferences, and meetings under the aegis of the Centre/Institute.
Conducting research activities related to your area of expertise.
Contributing to ongoing projects undertaken by the Institute.
Undertaking any other task assigned by the Institute.

A. The salary for the Research Fellow position is currently equivalent to Pay Level 12 in 7th CPC, ranging from Rs. 78,800/- to Rs. 2,09,200/- per month.

A. This is a full-time contractual position for a three-year term, including a probationary period of six months from the date of joining the Institute. Fresh Fellowship may be granted, subject to suitability assessed by the Institute, but it will not confer any right of permanence.

A. The upper age limit for applying to this position is not more than 50 years as of 30 June 2023. However, this restriction is not applicable to current MP-IDSA employees applying for the post. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for reserved category candidates.
