The standardization team is a global team primarily located in Denmark, India, and Portugal. Our department is responsible for implementing, defining and ensuring both short and long-term business performance targets are being met across platforms, modules, sub-modules and value chains to ensure the highest degree of standardized and modularized products.

We are responsible for delivering business and capability offerings such as Standardization and Parts management, Reference Designation Systems (RDS), Materials and coatings management and External standards & Standards in Vestas that maximize the value Vestas creates for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

 

  • Accountable for ensuring the quality of RDS code delivered to the business and end customers
  • Responsible for RDS governance and continuous improvement to achieve operational efficiency
  • Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving RDS database and other relevant RDS tools to guide the organization on how we work
  • Responsible for coordinating with internal stakeholders and external customers and suppliers to provide solutions related to RDS topics
  • Responsible for establishing the performance metrics together with key stakeholders to deliver value creation
  • Develop initiatives and develop engineering capabilities that include processes, people and systems aspects to improve how we engineer
  • Actively identify opportunities for RDS improvements together with stakeholders from across the value chain
  • Develop expert knowledge within the RDS domain and build guidelines to support Vestas within this field


    Qualifications

     

     

    • B.E / B.Tech or M.E / M.Tech / M.Sc within Engineering, preferably within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
    • 5-8 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably from the wind but potentially from other Engineering industries (E.g. Aerospace, Automotive and Energy Sector)
    • Engineering background in how the product is designed with product structures, systems, functions, and component knowledge
    • Experience with product configuration and Engineering, Manufacturing and Service BOM structure
    • Experienced in general Electrical and Electronics Engineering (e.g. medium and high voltage) including experience in reading Electrical diagrams
    • Experience with Reference Designation System (RDS) and relevant standards ISO / IEC 81346 (all parts) and VGB guideline S832 (T32)
    • Experience in how we engineer and develop engineering capability development improvement initiatives
    • Experience with Standardization methodology and principles is an added advantage
