Bosch Automotive Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (RBAI) is a 100 PERCENT subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. Established in 2009, in Naganathapura - Bengaluru, RBAI is primarily focused on manufacturing electronic products for the automotive sector. RBAI has consistently added an average of one product every year resulting in a wide range of products comprising Engine Control Units (ECU) for both 4W and 2W, Body Control Modules (BCM), ECUs for ABS, DC-DC Converters, iTraMS (Intelligent communication control unit) to name a few. RBAI also produces products for eMobility like MCU (Motor control Unit), C-Box (Communication Box), VCUs (Vehicle Control Unit), Central gateway modules and is geared up for other futuristic products. RBAI with its diverse portfolio, not only caters to local markets, but also exports products to all major global customers. The Naganathapura Plant (NhP1) is seen as a benchmark in Operational Excellence in AE and Bosch India, using an integrated approach of Bosch Production System (BPS) and I4.0. Roles and Responsibilities
Work closely together with the product development team, international production plants, and other cross-functional teams for the optimum design of new products for manufacturability and testability
Preparing technical data premises for variant products based on different manufacturing concepts/processes for cost calculation
Estimate the manufacturing line loading, perform line balancing
Coordinating for PCB layout design relevant for Robert Bosch manufacturability
Participate in the Quality Gate of the Product
Coordination with the sample shop for trials, initial tooling concept, and timely delivery of samples
Preparation of Manufacturing and design guidelines and approval from CFT
Ensure standard specifications are available before series production
Tolerance calculation and analysis
Participate in the P-FMEA, D-FMEA
Achieving the project milestones, sample delivery, and series production
Achieving target planned production cost
No quality issues in series production due to design elements
Qualifications
BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Electronics Engineering with 1 Years relevant experience in new product introduction from the Electronics Manufacturing Industry.
Preferably from the Automotive Electronics Industry.
Additional Information
Technical competencies required.
Good understanding of electronic product manufacturing (in SMT and Final assembly area) in the automotive sector.
Knowledge of Product cost calculations and Cost analyzation based on influencing factors
Knowledge of PCB layout requirements for ECU manufacturability
Knowledge of GD&T and Tolerance calculation
Knowledge of Quality tools, capability studies (Cp, Cpk)
