How You Will Contribute:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Routing and Switching Packet Networking, you will work alongside a team of engineers responsible for the performance of Cienaâs Routing and Switching for Packet Networking Products.

  • You will push the boundaries of automation, speed, and data processing of packet network using C and Python.
  • You will play a role in crafting, developing, testing, maintaining, and improving various protocols/algorithms used to evolve the packet networking software.
  • You will collaborate with a multi-functional team of designers, develop software for various protocols and automated test routines.

The Must Haves:

  • Working towards completion of a Bachelorâs, Masterâs, or PhD degree in Physics, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of development tools.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Python, C as a programming language.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with OSI network layers.

Assets:

  • An open mind to experience and learn and curiosity to ask questions.
  • A passion for coding in C/Python.
  • Experience with Linux development environments.
