As Software Quality Assurance Engineer 2, you will work on most complex problems like preserving the customer promise of privacy even on the most constrained devices (in terms of memory and processing power) or proving the customer privacy promise even on Cloud assisted device features. As a QAE, you will serve as the quality lead and strategic owner for large cross-functional projects, help define the software development processes used, scope test requirements, and lead other engineers in creating quality test plans.
* Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
* Demonstrate ability to work independently and inter-dependently as needed.
* Collaborate with development teams to identify test automation opportunities and integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
* Design and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, and performance testing.
* Analyze test results and report defects, providing detailed information to assist developers in troubleshooting and resolution.
* Work closely with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure automated tests align with business requirements.
* Contribute to the development of test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
The successful candidate will have an interest in testing consumer-facing products, strong technical ability, excellent organizational skills, great communication skills, a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, and, of course, a passion for Privacy and Security.
About the team
The Devices Software and Services Cerulean Team is specialized in building foundational platform solutions that is targeted at different Amazon devices and contribute to critical customer experiences that meets high bar of security and privacy requirements for the customers.
Collaborative team of PMTs, TPMs,SDE3s, SDE2s,SDETs and SDE1 engineers working on Fire OS, Kindle, Android , iOS and Cloud Technologies spread across India and US locations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience scripting or coding
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
- 4+ years of technical work experience
